Low Expertise Jobs For Engineers

A downside of the government’s new laws intended at receiving more people into the workforce is that without a job but highly-skilled graduates must contribute in a six-month activation programme or face losing their right to unemployment benefits .The new law implemented 1 August sets a 13-week deadline for finding employment.
The three options for engineering jobs seekers under 30 who have not tenable employment after the 13 weeks are: an apprenticeship; a job at reduced salary; or ongoing their education. Jon Guldberg, president of the engineers’ unemployment fund, said that the result of putting everyone under the same rules would ultimately result in the most qualified workers getting the short end of the stick.
‘What we’ll end up seeing is newly educated engineers taking unskilled labor because that’s the easiest way to get them into the workforce,’ he said.
‘That means that they don’t use their qualifications, which makes it that much harder for them to get into the engineering job market.’
This is good news not only for mid level engineers and fresh engineering grads but also for engineering recruitment agencies operating in the UK, as most of engineering jobs UK are dealt through them.
